mak·er·space

/ˈmākərˌspās/

noun

a place in which people with shared interests, especially in computing or technology, can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge.

"the makerspace is equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, various milling devices, and more"

  • Open hours are unstructured time where students have access to our workshop, tools, and materials to work on their own projects.

  • Students ages 10+ can be signed up for an unlimited time membership or an hourly plan.

  • Once signed up, students can drop in anytime we are open and do not need to sign up for time slots in advance.

How it works

  • For hourly students, the total time spent in the workshop is tracked and the total cost is billed at the end of each week.

  • Consumables — 3D printer filament, electronic components, wood, etc. — are not included in the membership. Students will log their consumable use in our system and this will be billed along with the total time.

  • Parents are encouraged to set a weekly budget for their students that caps what they are allowed to spend on consumables.
