Week 2: Lightsaber Engineering (6/22–6/26)

Campers will design and build a full-size, custom lightsaber from the ground up. Students learn the fundamentals of microcontrollers and coding, programming RGB LEDs to create realistic lighting effects, color changes, and animations. Campers also build their own electronic circuits and integrate them into the physical lightsaber body, combining electronics, programming, and fabrication into one finished build.

Older campers will have the opportunity to solder components, gaining hands-on experience with real electronics tools. By the end of the week, every student leaves with a fully functional, programmable lightsaber that they built, coded, and customized themselves.
