Day Camps
Camps on all major holidays plus winter and spring break camps! Schedule and sign up below.
Join one of our engineering day camps where students will build a guided project to take home. 3D printing, laser cutting, electronics, soldering and more! We take a lunch break at Gandara Park from 11:30 PM-1:00 PM. Parents can choose to pack a lunch or order through us from a local cafe. Specific camp information and lunch order form is sent out the day before camp.

General Details

Projects:
Each camp day, students will work to build a guided project that they get to take home! Examples include Ping Pong Ball Launchers, 3D Printed Flashlights, Water Blasters, Rocket Launchers and more! All guided projects emphasize hands on learning where students use real engineering tools and learn by doing, failing, and succeeding along the way.
Lunch:
Parents will have the option to pack their students a lunch or choose a meal for their students that we pick up from a local restaurant. The price of the meal will be in addition to the total camp price and charged to the card on file. After project work block 1, we will walk as a group to the park to eat lunch where students will be provided with their food. An order form will be sent before camp starts.
Outdoor Play Time
Students will get time after lunch to be outside and play in the park. We will provide activity options such as SpikeBall, frisbee, football, etc. Students are also welcome to any outdoor activity they enjoy such as reading or art. We plan to get our energy out so we can focus when we get back to work!
Student to Teacher Ratio: ~8:1
Camp sizes range from 20-40 students with 4-5 instructors. Students will form groups based on age and be assigned to an instructor for each group. Come expecting to make new friends!
Cancellation Policy
Day camps may be cancelled a minimum of 7 days in advance to the booked day, and a full refund minus a 3% card fee will be provided. Parents can also choose to transfer a paid camp date to another date with no fee, but this must be done 7 days in advance to the booked day. Students that are sick with a doctor’s note can receive a 50% credit to their account. Students that arrive after 9:15 AM will not be permitted to join camp and no refund will be given. Late students miss vital safety information and make it difficult for everyone to finish their project.
Daily Schedule
8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Drop Off & Free Time
Our doors will not open until 8:30 AM. Please do not arrive in advance. Parents may order lunch for their students at drop off if they have not already. Students will have open time/free build time until our safety talk at 9:15 AM.
9:15 AM: Safety Talk & Introductions
Students that arrive after 9:15 AM will not be permitted to join camp. Late students miss vital safety information and make it difficult for everyone to finish their project.
9:30 AM: Begin Project
Students will break into groups based on age and begin the project. Students will be working in groups or 5-10.
10:30 AM: Snack Time!
Students get a 15 minute break to have a snack we provide or play games and enjoy some free time.
10:45 AM: Continue Project
11:30 AM: Walk to Park
11:45 AM - 1:00 PM: Lunch + Outdoor Play Time
Mentors will walk students to the local park where we will put down blankets and have a picnic style lunch. If parents requested a lunch to be ordered for the student, it will be provided to them there. After students are done eating they will have time to play in the park on the field or on the play structure. Around 1 PM we pack up and walk back to Forge.
1:15 PM : Finish Project/Free Time
Students will now finish their project if they haven’t already. Students that have finished will be allowed free time/Open build time until cleanup at 2:50PM
2:50 PM: Cleanup!
3:00 - 3:15 PM: Pickup and Checkout
Students will begin clean up and put away their projects at 2:50PM. Any students not picked up by 3:15 PM will be logged in for Open Makerspace time and charged accordingly.
3:15 - 4:00 PM: Aftercare
Billed as Open Makerspace at $30/hr.
