Birthday parties · Ages 1st–8th

The party
they'll build.

Every guest builds a real engineering project — with real tools — and takes it home.

Three hours of guided building on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, led by our instructors. You bring the cake; we bring the engineering.

How the party runs

Not a class. Not a free-for-all.

Our instructors run the whole build — keeping it safe, keeping it moving, and making sure every single guest finishes a real project to take home. You get to actually enjoy the party.

Party planning

Party questions.

What ages is it for?

Grades 1–8 (1st through 8th). We tune the project to the birthday kid's age so every guest can do the real work and finish something they're proud of.

What will the kids build?

A guided engineering project where every guest uses real tools — and takes their build home. When you book, we send a menu of options like a glowing lithophane box, a wooden skateboard, or a 3D-printed flashlight; a few of the fancier builds add a small per-child material cost. Prefer something different? Groups can skip the set project and do a 3D-printer, laser-cutter, or woodworking crash course instead, then open build time with those tools.

How many guests can we have?

The $950 package covers up to 15 guests — but parties can be bigger. Add more at $50 per extra guest, up to 40 kids total. Need more time? Extra 30-minute blocks are $200 each, subject to instructor approval. Add or confirm guests up to 2 weeks before the party; after that we'll do our best as space and materials allow.

When are parties held?

Saturday or Sunday, 3:00–6:00 PM — the windows we're able to host birthday parties. Your family can arrive up to 1 hour early to set up and decorate.

Do you provide food and decorations?

We set up a food and cake table, put out basic decorations, and handle all setup and cleanup. You bring the food, cake, drinks, paper goods, and any special decorations, so you can make it feel exactly the way you want. We're a nut-free facility, so please keep everything nut-free.

How do we book, and what's the policy?

Request your date and headcount through the booking link. If it's open, we'll send a payment request — full payment reserves the date and is non-refundable. Your project choice and final headcount are due at least 2 weeks before the party; we prep materials from that count, and there are no refunds for guests who are paid for but don't come. Every attendee signs a quick liability waiver, which we'll have ready at the door.

Give them a birthday they get to build.

Check available dates and reserve the workshop. We'll help you pick the perfect project.
